Previously Hampton Family Practice had lost efficiency and economy due to continued growth in a constrained environment. This new facility was designed around the efficiency of the medical practice. 4 pods with 3-4 doctors per pod utilizing 3-4 exam rooms each became the efficiency model. Each of the 12 exam rooms per pod are in sight of the nursing/direction station, and doctors remain in the pod and are afforded minimum travel distances to the exam rooms. Two pods are backed against each other to allow sharing with staff during light and heavy periods.
